Despite Celtic's dominance over Rangers this season, we somehow didn't win the four league games against them, in fact the only time we have done this was in 2003-04. With the 13th anniversary of the last game in the whitewash occurring today, we thought we'd take a look back at the four games in question.

Rangers 0 Celtic 1 (Hartson 46') October 4th 2003

Celtic were two points behind Rangers going into this game but a great performance from Chris Sutton in defence anchored the team and we scored the only goal of the game in the opening seconds of the second half with John Hartson's deflected strike. Celtic went top of the league and never looked back.

Celtic 3 (Petrov 19', Varga 57', Thompson 85') Rangers 0 January 3rd 2004

Probably the most one-sided Celtic 'Glasgow Derby' victory until the games this season, as Celtic were in control from start to finish. A Stan Petrov diving header gave Celtic the lead, before Stan Varga made it two just before the hour. A fabulous Alan Thompson free-kick rounded off the scoring in style, as Celtic moved 11 points clear at the top of the league.

Rangers 1 (Thomson 82') Celtic 2 (Larsson 20', Thompson 51') March 28th 2004

Henrik Larsson marked his last visit to Ibrox in style as Celtic won on 'Beachball Sunday II'. Larsson gave Celtic the lead in the first half, then Alan Thompson coolly finished the second after a fine breakaway. Stevie Thomson pulled a late goal back for Rangers but that wasn't enough to stop the Celts from celebrating yet another victory.

Celtic 1 (Sutton 90') Rangers 0 May 8th 2004

Celtic completed the green and whitewash in the best way possible with a last minute winner from Chris Sutton, scored just as the Rangers fans were starting to celebrate winning a point (sounds familiar). Celtic ended the season with 98 points, which the Bhoys of this season seem certain to beat.
