THE BIG STORY: According to the Daily Express, Celtic are interested in signing Hibs midfielder John McGinn. The paper reports that a bid of around £1.5-2 million will be in the offing for the player. Midfield is an area where Celtic are particularly strong, so presumably he will only be signed if other players leave first. No offence to McGinn who looks a good player, but is a guy who has been playing in the Championship the sort of player who can take us to the next level in the Champions League? I'm not convinced, but perhaps Brendan Rodgers will be able to work his magic on him.
OTHER NEWS: In more transfer rumour news, Chelsea are apparently interested in Celtic youngster Michael Johnston, who has a year left on his contract.
Leigh Griffiths talked about taking his chances in the first team with Moussa Dembele out injured.
Griffiths also helped to launch the club's new Lisbon Lions inspired kit yesterday.
ON THIS DAY: Incredibly enough, there aren't any notable matches on this day which feature any Celtic triumphs, so here's something a little different. In 2007, we lost 2-0 to Rangers in a meaningless league game, which featured this Artur Boruc celebration after the game, as Artur let everyone know who the champions were.
