THE BIG STORY: Celtic assistant manager Chris Davies spoke to the press yesterday, stating his belief that the team that has been so successful this season won't be 'broken up' next season, even though plans are already underway for the squad to have some new 'quality' additions. Davies also revealed that Moussa Dembele has returned to training and is hopeful that Stuart Armstrong will remain at the club as 'he wants to stay'.

OTHER NEWS: Yesterday we wrote about Scott Brown's ten years at Celtic - read it here - and today Brown has stated that he wants to finish his career with Celtic.

Bobby Madden has been appointed referee for the Scottish Cup Final, so watch for 'eccentric' referring decisions galore.

ON THIS DAY: Very slim pickings for on this particular day, but thanks to that great resource The Celtic Wiki we found that in 1978 Celtic defeated already relegated Clydebank 5-2 in one of Jock Stein's last games as Celtic manager. Read about it here . We don't have footage of that game, but we do of Jock Stein's last victory over Rangers, a 2-0 win in March 1978.
