Sunderland’s Fabio Borini has once more been linked with Celtic. According to the Telegraph Celtic are willing to pay the £6 million that Sunderland are looking for for Borini.
Borini has had a dreadful season for Sunderland - as have almost all of their players - but he strikes as the sort of player that Brendan Rodgers can only improve, similar to what he has done to umpteen players at Celtic Park this season. Of course Rodgers previously worked with Borini at Liverpool so he knows what kind of player he is.
Also paying up to £6 million pound for a player would be a sign that Celtic mean business and are looking to improve in Europe next season. We'll keep you posted on this and any other transfer news.
