CELTIC V PARTICK THISTLE (SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP; WEDNESDAY 5TH APRIL 2017, 7:45PM)

Celtic return to Celtic Park as champions as we play Partick Thistle in the first of two home games this week.

Team Selection: As we reported on the site yesterday, both Moussa Dembele and Leigh Griffiths are still out injured. so I would presume it will be the same starting eleven as the one that started against Hearts, with Roberts and Sinclair the furthest forward. Maybe the likes of Bitton, Gamboa and Izaguirre will get a start but in the run-up to the Scottish Cup semi-final changes will be kept to a minimum.

Previous Meetings: The first meeting between the sides this season resulted in a comfortable 4-1 Celtic win at Firhill, with the goals coming from a brace by Stuart Armstrong, Leigh Griffiths and Callum McGregor

The second meeting between the teams, which took place only eleven days after the first, was a much tighter game, and was decided by a single Scott Sinclair goal

Prediction: Hopefully backed by a large crowd, Celtic should have enough quality to defeat Thistle. The players will no doubt want to put on a good performance as they return home as champions.
