THE BIG STORY: We will find out later today if Scott Brown has been successful in appealing his red card against Ross County which rules him out of Saturday's trip to Ibrox. Naturally we'll bring you the news of the appeal on here as soon as we find out the outcome.
SITE NEWS: In a few weeks time I'll be interviewing the legendary Bobby Lennox for @GIGPOD, with the episode due to be released on May 25th, which is of course the 50th anniversary of Celtic's triumph in Lisbon. Speaking of @GIGPOD, the new episode with Craig Burley is very interesting, hopefully it makes people remember just how good a player he was for Celtic. Details on how to listen here.
OTHER NEWS: Celtic easily defeated Rangers 3-0 last night to win the Scottish Youth Cup at Hampden Park, read our match report on the game here. Manager Tommy McIntyre was thrilled with the cup victory.
Transfer Story Department: Southampton might - or might not - have bid 8 million Euros for rumoured Celtic transfer target Henry Onyekuru.
ON THIS DAY: In 2008, Celtic defeated Rangers 3-2 in a thrilling match at Celtic Park, which piled pressure on Rangers at the top of the league. After an early Scott McDonald goal gave Celtic the lead, two identical headers by Weir and Cousin put Rangers 2-1 ahead, before a deflected McDonald shot made it 2-2 at half-time. The only goal in the second-half was a Barry Robson penalty, as Celtic made it four league wins in a row.
