Thursday Round-Up: Yet More Semi-Final Build-Up and Schalk Gets a Ban

THE BIG STORY: The build-up to Sunday's game continues, and in a shock turn of events last Sunday's events are still dominating proceedings. Firstly, John Hartson has said that Don Robertson - set to be an assistant assistant referee on Sunday - should be removed from the position. The chances of that happening - slim and none, I would say. Now former Celtic manager Ronny Deila is talking about the events of the semi-final against Inverness in 2015 on the back page of the Daily Record today. *sighs wearily* In a related story, Alex Schalk has been banned for two games for his dive on Sunday. And of course, Scott Brown is free to play against Rangers as we officially lodged an appeal against his red card on Sunday. Hooray!

SITE NEWS: I'm on the latest episode of @GIGPOD, talking about the Ross County game, the upcoming semi-final and various other things. Listen here.

ON THIS DAY: In 1996, Celtic defeated Falkirk 4-0 at Celtic Park. After two goals in the first half by Andreas Thom, two late goals by Jorge Cadete and Simon Donnelly completed the scoring.
