Saturday Round-Up: Leigh's Back!

THE BIG STORY: At the Celtic open training session at Celtic Park yesterday Leigh Griffiths confirmed that he is fit and has recovered from his back injury. He claims that Scott Brown didn't believe that he had a broken bone in his back, and thought he was 'at it'. It will be interesting to see how much game time Griffiths gets against Ross County on Sunday, and he will surely make the bench for next week's Scottish Cup semi-final.

OTHER NEWS: In a game unfortunately played behind closed doors at Morton's Cappielow Park yesterday, Celtic's development side demolished their Rangers counterparts 4-0, Regan Hendry the star man with a hat-trick. See the goals here.

Interesting interview with the legendary Bobby Lennox which focuses not only on the Lisbon Lions but on Scotland’s 3-2 win over World Champions England at Wembley fifty years ago today.

ON THIS DAY: In 2015, Celtic defeated Kilmarnock 4-1 at Celtic Park, to remain firmly on course for four in a row. Killie actually took the lead early in the second-half but a Kris Commons equaliser then a Leigh Griffiths hat-trick gave Celtic the easy three points.
