CELTIC V ST MIRREN (SCOTTISH CUP QUARTER-FINAL; SUNDAY 5TH MARCH 2017, 12:30PM)

Celtic aim to take another step on the road to the treble against St Mirren this Sunday lunchtime, in what is now the most important game of the season - yes, even more important than next Sunday's game against 'Rangers'.

Team Selection: The biggest news is that Patrick Roberts has recovered from injury and is back in the squad, you would imagine that he would be back in the team in place of Gary Mackay-Steven. No word on Simunovic's fitness so it will be Boyota and Sviatchenko at the back, the rest of the team picks itself...although I would play Gamboa instead of Lustig.

Previous Meetings: We've already covered the last Scottish Cup meeting between the sides on the site, the last league game between the teams was in April 2015 as Celtic run out 2-0 winners in Paisley, the goals coming from Forrest and a Johansen penalty. FULL DISCLOSURE: I cannot remember a single thing about this game, thank goodness for the highlights below!

Prediction: St Mirren have came into a decent run of form recently and defeated Neil Lennon's Hibs in midweek but they are bottom of their league for a reason, and I think Celtic's class will eventually tell with Dembele amongst the goals yet again.
