It's the weekend - but more importantly it’s the Saturday round-up

  • Brendan Rodgers has challenged a 'shock jock' radio host who criticised Celtic to come to Celtic Park to see the team play
  • Rodgers also suggested that the Lisbon Lions deserve honours from the Palace
  • Fellow Lisbon Lion and Celtic kit-man John Clark paid tribute to the late Tommy Gemmell
  • Celtic have announced that there will be a minute's silence held in Gemmell's honour before kick-off against St Mirren on Sunday
  • Patrick Roberts is back in the squad for the St Mirren game but James Forrest is still out
  • Nir Bitton hilariously patronised some current and former 'Rangers' players
  • Lionel Messi has apparently DEMANDED that Barcelona sign Moussa Dembele in the summer
  • Check out the two latest episodes of the @GIGPOD podcast, the first featuring a Dembele Vs Pierre debate and the second features a very candid interview with former Celtic defender Ulrik Laursen, both are well worth a listen
  • ON THIS DAY: In 2006, Celtic defeated Aberdeen 3-0 at Celtic Park with three second half-goals, the first a great strike by Stan Petrov, the second a tap in for Shaun Maloney after good work by Roy Keane and the third a tap in for Maciej Zurawski after good work by Petrov. The victory gave Celtic a sixteen point lead in the premier league over second place Hearts.
