News time
- Give our epic look at Craig Bellamy's brief but eventful time at Celtic a read
- Leigh Griffiths played for around thirty minutes in Scotland's dire 1-1 draw with Canada last night, Craig Gordon was an unused substitute
- Mikael Lustig has said that every game Celtic play is a 'cup final'
- ON THIS DAY: In 2008, Celtic took part in one of the more bizarre games in league history, as we defeated Gretna 3-0, in our first win in four games. Firstly, the game was in danger of not happening at all as Gretna were in danger of going bust. However, the SFA gave them funds to play the rest of the season - they would eventually liquidate - just like Rangers did! - at the end of the season. The game was meant to be played at Motherwell's Fir Park but as their pitch was in such a mess it was switched to Livingston's Almondvale Stadium. As for the game itself, Celtic struggled against the team at the bottom of the league, before a Scott McDonald goal opened the scoring. JVoH and a nice Samaras goal put some gloss on the scoreline.
