Paul McStay celebrates his goal at Ibrox on this day in 1988

It's the start of the international week *grits teeth* great. But there is still Celtic news!

  • Celtic are only three points away from six in a row after yesterday's 2-1 win over Dundee. Goals from the game are here, also read our match report and player ratings
  • Brendan Rodgers said that Moussa Dembele should be fine for the Hearts game in two week after struggling with a hamstring problem at the end of yesterday's game
  • Rodgers also praised the in-form Stuart Armstrong and thinks that he deserves his first Scotland cap this week
  • ON THIS DAY: In 1988, the Centenary Bhoys took a massive step towards winning the league with a 2-1 victory at Ibrox. A classic Paul McStay strike put Celtic into the lead, before a similarly excellent Jan Bartram goal levelled the game. Celtic clinched the points in the 79th minute when Andy Walker deflected in an Anton Rogan header with his shoulder. Now the real treat: Included below is a video of the entire game, featuring commentary by Sir Alex Ferguson and some bizarre pre-match segments. Yes, Scottish Television was weird in 1988.
