  • ON THIS DAY: In 2000, Celtic defeated Aberdeen 2-0 in the league cup final with goals from Vidar Riseth and recent GIGPOD guest Tommy Johnston, which put some gloss on a very poor season. The trophy was the only piece of silverware won by caretaker manager Kenny Dalglish, who was replaced by Martin O'Neill at the end of the season. Highlights of the game are below
