Wipe Out The Blemish: An Inverness v Celtic Preview

Moussa Dembele celebrates scoring against Inverness last month

INVERNESS V CELTIC (WEDNESDAY MARCH 1ST 2017, 7:45PM)

Celtic return to the only place we have dropped points domestically this season as we aim for our 22nd consecutive league win.

Team Selection: Perhaps Brendan Rodgers might make some changes to the side as we have the arguably more important Scottish Cup tie vs St Mirren this weekend? Leigh Griffiths could be due a start, and Gary Mackay-Steven has another chance to prove his worth in place of the injured James Forrest. Cristian Gamboa deserves another start, he played well against Hamilton at the weekend, but you would imagine he'll stick with most of the usual XI, to keep momentum going.

Previous Meetings: The aforementioned 2-2 draw in September really should have been a comfortable Celtic win, we missed some great chances and the Caley goalkeeper made some great saves

We made up for it with a fairly routine 3-0 win in November

And of course last month there was the outstanding 6-0 victory in the Scottish Cup, with Moussa Dembele running riot

Prediction: This could be a tricky game, Inverness will be on a high after their hilarious victory over 'Rangers' on Friday night, while we have often found the Tulloch Stadium a notoriously difficult venue, but this Celtic team is made of strong stuff, and will eventually emerge victorious.
