Records Vs Trophies

what is more important

There's been a debate on Celtic websites/forums recently about the merits of winning the domestic treble versus finishing the league season unbeaten and which feat is more important to the club.

In my opinion, winning the treble is far more important, we really should have done it far more in our history, particularly in recent years when the standard of opposition hasn't been at it's best, that's not stopped us from throwing away trophies.

An unbeaten season would look good in the record books but it wouldn't feel as special as the treble, I mean I doubt that many people remember Neil Lennon's quest to have an unbeaten season in 2013, which ended up at Pittodrie and lead to some boring league games as we seemed to adopt a safety first approach rather than playing exciting football, something that this current squad wouldn't do.

What say you, the readers of this blog: what is more important; the treble or an unbeaten league campaign?
