SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP: MOTHERWELL V CELTIC; WEDNESDAY 29TH NOVEMBER 2017
Celtic play our second game against Motherwell in three days, as we head to Fir Park to play the Steelmen in league duty for the first time this season.
Team Selection: The big news is that Moussa Dembele is out of this match, and perhaps next week’s game against Anderlecht, with an ankle injury suffered in that dreadful tackle by Cedric Kipre in Sunday’s Betfred Cup Final.
Leigh Griffiths will be the natural replacement for Dembele, with perhaps the only other change from Wednesday a start for Tom Rogic, maybe in place of Stuart Armstrong or Callum McGregor. As far as we know Mikael Lustig didn’t suffer any after-effects of playing on Sunday so the defence should remain the same.
Previous Meetings: Our one visit to Fir Park last season was certainly a memorable one, as Celtic twice came from behind to win 4-3, in a game which features three goals in two minutes and a superb last minute winner by Tom Rogic.
Prediction: The same as on Sunday, Celtic need to watch out for Motherwell’s star man Louis Moult, who Craig Gordon denied with a superb point-blank save at the weekend. The crowd reactions to Scott SInclair and Cedric Kipre will certainly be interesting. Celtic should have enough class to prevail in a tough match.
