Player Ratings from today’s pulsating 4-2 Betfred Cup semi-final win over Hibs:
Craig Gordon - 5: Didn’t really have much to do but his distribution from the back continues to be dreadful and give concern, may well be dropped against Aberdeen on Wednesday
Mikael Lustig - 8: Restored back to his natural position of right-back and responds with two goals, what an odd game football is

Nir Bitton - 5: Once again drafted into central defence and was at fault for Hibs’ second goal by not tracking Shaw
Dedryck Boyata - 6: Played relatively well at the back, was extremely unlucky to concede a penalty for nothing

Kieran Tierney - 7: Excellent going forward as ever, was extremely unlucky not to score with a shot off the post
Scott Brown - 7: Controlled the midfield for large spells before tiring towards the end of the game
Callum McGregor - 8: Another excellent performance from a player who should be a permanent fixture in the team

Stuart Armstrong - 6: Flitted in and out of the game but did well for Celtic’s third goal before being taken off
Patrick Roberts - 6: Similar to Armstrong in that he was often on the periphery of the game, did look dangerous at times, though
Scott Sinclair - 6: Had a decent game, although you could tell he was feeling the effects of Wednesday’s game towards the end
Leigh Griffiths - 5: Had a very quiet game, perhaps he was overawed playing against the team he supports?
Substitutes:
Moussa Dembele - 8: Fantastic cameo, scored two and could have had a hat-trick, deserves to start against Aberdeen and should be the main striker from now on

James Forrest - 7: Did very well with his aggressive running when he came on and twice tested Hibs with good shots on goal
Tom Rogic - 6: Put through Demeble for a great chance he missed then set him up for Celtic’s fourth goal. A good performance
