Speaking to the media following today’s 1-0 win over Dundee, Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has admitted that Celtic can play better but was still naturally delighted with the three points.

Rodgers described Celtic as ‘not as fluent...as I’d like’ and that at times we were ‘too loose’ with our passing, but that overall with all the changes made to the side it was a ‘brilliant result’. The manager also praised Dorus de Vries, who in his first game for over a year pull off some great saves in the second half, lauding his ‘agility and concentration’.

We also heard from the goalkeeper after the game, who talked about the saves that he made and how ‘happy’ he was to return to the first team. It wouldn’t surprise me if we saw a bit more of de Vries are his fine performance today, perhaps against Hibs in the Betfred Cup semi-final a week today.
