SATURDAY 14TH OCTOBER: SCOTTISH PREMIERSHIP; CELTIC V DUNDEE 3:00PM
It’s the start of a hectic spell for Celtic as we return to league duty with a game against Dundee.
Team Selection: With Brendan Rodgers confirming that Simunovic, Ralston, Brown, Armstrong and Rogic will all miss the game, the Celtic team could well have an unfamiliar look to it.
Presumably Nir Bitton will come in to partner Boyata at the back, with Tierney hopefully restored to left-back in a four at the back, which is the system that most suits Celtic. In midfield Callum McGregor will hopefully put his Scotland snub behind him to start perhaps alongside Olivier Ntcham. Patrick Roberts and Scott Sinclair should be on the wings and it will be interesting to see if it’s the in-form Leigh Griffiths or Moussa Dembele as the lone striker, playing them together doesn’t seem to work.
Previous Meetings: Celtic have already played Dundee this season, winning 4-0 at Dens Park in the Betfred Cup quarter-final just last month, thanks to goals from Scott Sinclair, Callum McGregor and a brace by James Forrest.
Prediction: This might be the least important of Celtic’s next four games - the trip to Bayern, the Betfred Cup semi against Hibs and a midweek visit to Pittodrie lie ahead - but it’s still an important game, as the Celtic team will want to play themselves into good form in our first game in two weeks, and I would predict a comfortable Celtic win.
