THE BIG STORY: The international break is almost at an end for Celtic players, with only a few players in action last night. Nir Bitton played around 25 minutes as a substitute for Israel in their 1-0 defeat to Spain, whilst Moussa Dembele and Olivier Ntcham both featured for France u21s in their 3-2 win over Luxembourg.
As for today’s games, Tom Rogic’s Australia are in action RIGHT NOW against Syria and Mikael Lustig’s Sweden face the Netherlands later tonight.
OTHER NEWS: The fall-out from Scotland’s failure to reach the World Cup play-offs has been ongoing, with Kieran Tierney hoping that the disappointing qualifying campaign will spur him on to become an even better player than he already is in the future.
ON THIS DAY: In 2001, Celtic defeated Rosenberg 1-0 at Celtic Park in the Champions League Group Stage, maintaining our 100% record at home in the Group Stages, the only goal coming from an Alan Thompson free-kick.
